Egypt, a country steeped in ancient history and cultural richness, is located in the northeastern corner of Africa, spanning into Asia with the Sinai Peninsula. Known as the land of the Pharaohs, it is home to some of the world’s most iconic ancient monuments, including the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. The Nile River, which traverses the country from south to north, has been the lifeblood of Egyptian civilization for millennia, providing fertile land that supported one of the earliest and most enduring civilizations in history. Modern Egypt is a vibrant mix of old and new, with bustling cities like Cairo offering a glimpse into contemporary life while still retaining the echoes of its storied past. The country’s cultural heritage, from its art and architecture to its music and cuisine, continues to captivate and inspire people around the globe.

The best time to visit Egypt is from October to April.

During this period, the weather is more comfortable, making it ideal for exploring the country’s rich historical sites, such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the temples of Luxor and Karnak.

Additionally, the pleasant climate during these months allows for enjoyable Nile cruises and desert excursions without the oppressive heat of the summer months, which can soar above 100°F (38°C). The peak tourist season is from December to February, so visiting in the shoulder months of October-November or March-April might also offer fewer crowds and more reasonable prices, while still enjoying favorable weather.
